M. Yvonne (Tew) Gahagan, 83, of Levittown, formerly of Roaring Spring, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the Allegheny Lutheran Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.  She was born in 1926 in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late William V. and Alta A. (Amick) Tew.  Yvonne married Luther M. Gahagan on September 5, 1948 in Roaring Spring.  He preceded her in death on April 25, 2008.  Yvonne was of the Lutheran faith.  She retired as a secretary/bookkeeper.  Yvonne graduated from Roaring Spring High School.  She enjoyed bowling.  She was preceded in death by her son, Garry.  Yvonne is survived by her sister, Janet Elaine Sollenberger, children, Allen L. Gahagan and Scott E. Gahagan, grandchildren, Allison Gahagan, Erica Gahagan, Julia Gahagan, Cheryl Parks-Kane, and Glen Stone Gahagan, great grandchildren, Angelina Kane and Airella Kane.  Friends will be received from 1:30- 2:30pm on Wednesday, May 26 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona.  A memorial service will be held at 2:30pm on Wednesday at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Sharon Erb.

We will miss our visits with Yvonne! She was a very sweet lady that will truly be missed!
