Jacquelyn B. Lynn, 75, of Altoona, died Monday, March 1, 2010 at ARHS Bon Secours Campus.  She was born on September 23, 1934, the daughter of the late Howard Powley and Nora (Pounds) Powley.  Jacquelyn married Edward B. Lynn.  He preceded her in death.  She formerly attended Broad Avenue Presbyterian Church.  Jacquelyn retired in 1991 from the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home as a nursing supervisor after 33 years of service.  She was a 1951 graduate of Altoona High School and a 1955 graduate of the Harrisburg School of Nursing.  Jacquelyn enjoyed knitting, crocheting, playing the piano, and spending time on her computer.  She is survived by her son, Jeffrey B. Lynn and wife Lisa of Altoona, grandchildren, Brandy Kessler and husband Brad, Robert Lynn, Stephen Ice, Ce’nedra Lynn, Damon Lynn, Tyler Kessler, Marissa Kessler, Adriana Kessler and Nathan Kessler.  Jacquelyn was preceded in death by her daughter Michelle Lynn, son Randall Lynn, sisters Virginia Henshaw and Irene “Dolly” McKendree. Friends will be received from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, March 5, 2010 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona.  A funeral service will be held at 8:00pm on Friday at the funeral home officiated by Rev. Robert Smith.  Interment will be held at Alto Reste Park.

So sorry to hear about Jackie. My Dad, Donald Van Sickel (your Aunt Dora's son), loved your Mom. He passed last January. Just remember that you are all in my prayers at this time of loss. Families should keep in touch--my # is 940-1811. Ps. 118:17 I shall not die, but I shall keep living, that I may declare the works of God.
