Cleo G. Lukehart

Cleo G. Lukehart, 82, of 182 S. Eastland Drive, Lancaster, PA, formerly of 1900 Fourth Avenue, Altoona, died Friday, February 12, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital, Lancaster, PA.  Cleo was born in Altoona , February 9, 1928, the daughter of Charles and Gertrude (McElwain) Meese. She married Donald E. Lukehart May 25, 1956.  Cleo volunteered at Altoona Hospital for 3,500 plus hours. But her most treasured accomplishment was raising her three children, Sharon, Bonnie, and Terry, which were her pride and joy.  Surviving are her children, Sharon A. Schultz, Milan, PA; Bonnie M. Kennedy and her fiancé, James Parr, Wellsburg, NY; Terry L. Lukehart and his wife Kathy, Lancaster, PA; special “adopted daughter” Dolores Schirf, Tipton, PA; step-daughter Linda L. Lukehart, Inverness, FL., seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Erma R. Prough, Duncansville, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Lukehart, sisters: Mae Rhodes, Ann Beckel and brother Charles Meese.

Friends will be received from 6:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 and from 11:00am-1:00pm on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue, Altoona.  A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Stewart W. McClelland.  Interment will be held at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.  In remembrance of Cleo, those who wish may make contributions to Altoona Bible Church, 3017 Union Avenue, Altoona, PA, 16602.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Stewart W. McClelland.
