Paul E. Wagner, Sr., 80, of Altoona, died Friday, February 19, 2010 at Garvey Manor.  He was born March 15, 1929 in Altoona, the son of the late Earl and Mae (Walls) Wagner.  Paul married Dorothy L. Ollinger, May 7, 1949 in Altoona.  He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.  Paul retired in 1999 as a maintenance mechanic from Niagra Cresson Plastics Company; following his retirement he worked part-time as a security guard at Juniata Packing Company.  He was a graduate of Altoona High School and a United States Navy veteran of World War II.  Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and loved spending time with his family.  He is survived by his wife; sons, Paul E. Wagner, Jr. and wife Bonnie of Altoona, Joseph W. Wagner and wife Cindy of Atlanta, GA and David C. Wagner and wife Jenny of Hollidaysburg; daughter, Linda (Wagner) Holland and husband Robert of Altoona; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.  Paul was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Wagner and sister, Mary Dickman.  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 at E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Inc., 2309 Broad Avenue.  A funeral service outside of mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the funeral home.  Committal at Calvary Cemetery.  In remembrance of Paul, those who wish may make contributions to Garvey Manor, 128 Logan Blvd., Hollidaysburg, PA  16648 or Grane Hospice, 1020 Green Avenue, Altoona, PA  16601. 

Service
A funeral service outside of mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at the funeral home.
